New site design, more to come>

Posted Thu 14th Mar 2013 12:51 PM by Dan Britchford in General

Just a quick update – you may have noticed the site has changed. A lot…

Basically I’m teaching myself to be better at web design/development at the moment, and so you can most likely expect to see a lot more changes appear over the course of the next week or so (I’m ambitious to how long it will take for me to new learn things) as I learn – and implement where I see fit.

You may have already noticed the theme-changer up in the left corner (a bit of jQuery), which isn’t complete yet but was more a test to see if I could do it. Along with this there is a work-in-progress news-scroller that functions pretty nicely, and you can expect more and more advanced things like that to appear.

What does this mean for articles? Not a whole lot. It’s likely that I won’t be posting as often, or making the articles as long (that’s a good thing, I think) – but you can still expect to get at least two posts a week with some interesting information attached!

Anyway, I hope you like the new design, and please comment on some posts (you can use either the facebook-comments section or the in-built comments section I styled to do this!). It would make me a happy boy.

Thanks
Dan
